This was my 6th trip to the park by my house. I have caught zero each time but I see people pull bass out all day long one after another from 1-2 lbs. I went last night and it was 30 min to closing time and a storm moving in. Cast a few more times before going to the car and got this guy on a fluke with a belly weighted hook.

Very nice catch! What color fluke did you use at night?

Yes it was almost a straight down drop where I caught him and reeds lined the bank I had to to my shoes off and get in the water to put it back it would of been like a 7 foot drop if I “threw it back” held it by the jaw and moved it back in forth slowly through the water and wiped the sides down. I’m new to targeting bass only and I am in 6-7 bass pages on fb I’ve read how you shouldn’t lay them on the ground etc I try to do everything the right way

I’m still new at this but I was told at night use black and blue jigs. But that guy bit a white fluke with the yellow split tail on a belly weighted hook it’s clear water caught it in about 2 foot of water in a little cove with a street light

I have good luck with white moving lures and dark bottom baits at night.
