Great information Ken. Most of us have fished out of 4 or 5 brands of boats, have our favorite, mostly based on the fact that "it's the boat we own", and seldom have the ability to critique, measure, or evaluate, boats our buddies own. I was a little surprised that the Charger has no box locks. I'm interested to see your evaluation of a Phoenix as I've fished out of one(Justin Margraves') and was impressed with the hull shot, speed, finish, and certainly 4 stroke Merc performance.

I crawled all over a 210 at the Classic. Cool looking boat with some great features but I thought the hardware was a little primitive compared to the price. I really didn't buy the reasoning for the lack of locks. No matter what I want my compartments lockable and with latches. I could see those big rod locker doors coming open in some really rough water.

Simplify the design and they were not needed. You could use a locker bar if you needed security.

I’ve been told that since all locks eventually leak they are more waterproof than if locks?

The price is a premium and near to other boats ie. skeeter, ranger & bass cat.. Makes boat look cheap and the day box is another item in question.

On a positive note, Ken its a great unbiased video and looks to be a great ride just with some unfinished items.

Bass boats aren't submarines so why is a lock a leak concern?

Because thieves love it when they don't. I've had stuff stolen out of my boat at a gas station before. It sucks that you have to do it, but meth knows no boundaries. Build a wall!

2 Loc R Bars come with the boats... If the locks do leak it's a pain in the arse, so they just eliminate the potential problem... Plus it's the ChampioN way... No locks or handles to break, just an easily replace nylon loop... Plus you won't be branded by the T-handles when you sit down to retie... Great review Ken... Dan
