This heat has me thinking about winter. What kind of umbrella rig do y’all use?

Yeah Babee custom made a-rigs. With blades, without. 3 jig, 4 jig, and 5 jig. 1/2oz and 3/4oz head. The guy makes a great product.

I have found that the quality of the A-Rigs I put together has a direct effect on the number of dollars I leave in the lake.

Doesn't seem to matter what kind I get. It will get hung up on the first cast and either break apart or break off.

I bought several of the better ones with replaceable arms etc, they dont last as long as yumbrella ones. The strike king titanium one seems durable but it reels really hard so Ill never use it unless I lose break all my yumbrellas.

I fish them on a 8 foot rod and watch on my live scope each cast to get the speed right and keep them at 7 feet deep or less, so I can get them back!! I have lost a few with a back lash and it hit bottom at nachoniche in the trees...

Look up Ron @ Nekidtackle.com. He’s local, in Lewisville,Tx. and builds some great A-Rigs. Customize to your liking and affordable. I caught a bunch of fish last fall/winter on his rigs with no failures on the components used to build them.

I throw the Yumbrella most of the time with the lighter wire hooks so I can free it when snagged. Just have to not crank on the bigger fish hard.

I'm still a Hog Farmer fan, and I've tried several different brands. A-rigs catch big fish, and I hate to have that sinking feeling when the snap opens up under the tension of the fish pulling and you loose the jig with the fish.
It's happened too many times, but never with the Hog Farmer. Always with the Yumbrella.
