My trolling motor cables rest directly on top of the foot pedal. Not only does this make me have to lift the cables with my foot to operate the TM, but it also randomly cancels spot-lock when it makes contact with the pedal during operation. I cant figure out how to adjust the routing. Anyone have a fix for this?

unplug them and give them a twist or two to the left and they should lay on the other side.

May not even have to disconnect them. Try picking up your foot pedal and gently rotate it in the opposite direction the cables are now laying in.
