Yep, hopefully the folks on the coast are already headed inland. I cranked up our generator and filled all of my gas cans. In a positive testimony for Marine Formula Stabil, it cranked on the first pull after setting in the shop for 2 years. Changed the oil and ran it for about 15 minutes, purred like new.

Hiway 69 in just south of Rusk was bumper to bumper yesterday, Heard all Tyler's hotels were full. Looks like Holly Beach may get wiped out again. I helped with clean up after Rita at max winds of 115 mph and it was amazing devastation. Laura is already at 140 mph. Donโt try and ride this out.

I helped take up tile and flooring at various retail buildings after Ike. I remember driving in and seeing large boats in the median of the middle of the highway. We were among the first allowed in afterwards, and all they had done was take a bulldozer and run it down streets and pushed all the debris off the side. The devastation was incredible. There was a hotel with a 10 foot fence, off one of the bays, it had boats and other large debris stacked twenty foot deep all the way to the top of that fence.

I suspect Holly Beach was washed away again. I am seeing lots of coverage of damage in Lake Charles, nothing from Cameron.
I guess film crews have not made it down there.
