Thought you might have been my neighbor for a second. Just saw her open and jump back from the mailbox when i was pulling in the drive about 20 minutes ago. She must also have a mailbox lizard.

I have a black widow inside and wasps underneath, want to trade? One day at the lake I got stung by some red paper wasps when I opened the mailbox....Either right before that incident, or right after, I pulled out the newspaper from the mailbox and was treated to a ton of ants...I thought my neighbors hated me for a while.

One night I opened my front door and just before stepping outside noticed a copperhead on top of the door mat looking up at the door. A couple seconds later I detected a flash of movement on the outside of the door just inches from my head - it was the lizard that the snake was hunting - same coloration. Closest I ever came to a heart attack.
