After months of waiting, I finally got my hands on the brand new Abu Garcia Catfish Special. With new colors and graphics, the reel looks exceptional.

i try to spend less but this one may get me to spend a few extra $$$. pretty reel. I still own my first ambassador 5000 D i got for christmas in the seventh grade and it still works. huge fan of the reel.I am currently 61 years old a very long trail from 7th grade. i still use the original when i am wanting to go retro.

It is a great reel. I just spooled it up last night and went to test it out this morning. Forgot to adjust the tension and had a terrible bird nest first cast. After clearing that and a few adjustments, I could launch it a country mile.
