Gentlemen Where would y'all mount this structure scan transducer? Directly on the transom with the bracket, without the bracket on the flat portion of the boat, on the black section of the hull? thanks in advance Brian ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-31914-64412-ducer_pic.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-31914-64413-transom_underside_pic.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-31914-64414-transom_back_side.jpg)

I didn’t want to mount mine to the hull either! I made a aluminum bracket. I pulled the bottom motor mount bolt and put it through the bracket. It’s 1/8” aluminum plate 1 1/2” wide. I cut it to where the transducer is at the right height and level according to the YouTube videos I watched. Tool used were a drill, hack saw, file. Just took a little time fitting it exactly to the shape of the motor mount. So there would be no slop to move and it was level. Really a easy job. Works great. I painted it to match.

Might reach out to Transducer Shield and Saver. They probably have a bracket that mounts to the jack plate or transom. Either way once you install it, it will be there forever.

Transducer face flush against bottom of hull. Adjust boat on trailer until PAD is level with ground, then adjust transducer/bracket to straight level.
