Started at 7:00...had a one man limit by 9:45. Partner said he was getting a little hot so we went back to the house.

Fished docks for the first hour then went to some piles and finished them off.

It's nice to see the Crappie making a comeback on Bonham. Those heavy rains a few years back really jacked that lake up in my opinion. I honestly think a lot went over the dam.

Great Catch!

For a few years I’ve told people that there’s a lot of crappie in Bonham, but you were gonna be hard pressed catching fish over 10”

That’s clearly not the case anymore...I agree with you that it’s coming back nicely...this is the first time in a long time I caught this many keepers this quick.

Unfortunately, once Bois d’arc gets here it’s gonna be a lost gem.

I was under the impression the new lake would absorb Bonham...Bois D’arc will be one of the new premier lakes in Texas...

Looks like they're planning on building the new lake with the far upper reaches getting to the Bonham dam....but will leave Bonham intact/unchanged with it's dam dividing the two lakes.

there will be a dam kinda like the way cypress/sandlin are separated. Bonham will be the hidden gem while everyone else fishes Bois D'arc. Does anyone know if they will allowing lakefront leases and docks on Bois D'arc?
