Can’t make it stop, if I’m trimmed level and not rocking too bad it’ll stop. Been fighting this for some time. I can tell oil is getting there, just not enough to keep the float up. Found this tee like this. Can’t find any hoses not connected. What am I missing?

that fittin' is ok.. its a pressure relief valve... if tha motor tank is not stayin' full ya might wanna check main tank for any kinda "pressure leak".. could be cap, cap gasket, cracked hose etc... also tha fitting under tha starter that pressurizes tha tank may be gettin' a little weak. thats some startin' place's anyway.... jmo

Thanks for input. I've checked, cleaned and double checked the fill top for the in hull reservoir. I guess I will need to unhook it and pull it out.

pull the pickup tube out of the oil tank in the boat sometimes the screen on the bottom gets stopped up an wont let enough oil thru it to go to the tank on the motor.

That's excellent info right there. I will do this tomorrow and report back. If that's all it is I owe you a cold beverage or 4...

Cleaned pickup tube screen. It was pretty dirty. Took the boat and it’s still staying below the float. Tomorrow I’m going to pull the tank out and check everything real good, might try to blow hoses out...

Checked all caps and pick up tube again, everything looked good. So I pulled the fill hose and put it in a container. Used my compressor to apply some pressure and got flow. There might have been a restriction but not sure. Based on what I see below the starter where the pressure is generated its going to be difficult to replace that part as I don’t see how it can be removed

it screws into the block pull it out it has a check valve make sure you cant blow back thru it that is where your pressure comes from to fill the tank on the motor.

Pulled check. It does have a screen. Not anything there. Blow through check both directions, and even when it does seal it doesn’t seal very well. I think I found the problem!
