I have been asked alot for General areas where I'm catching our fish. The patterns should begin to change some over the next few weeks and a Fall pattern will settle in. As for right now, you can still catch them in these areas on the map. We put in at the State Park. That is real spots where I have stopped to fish schools and I fish here 95% of the time. That is the areas I will be in this afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. This weekend will be more for the kids but if you see that boat, pull on up. If you are in these areas and locate large schools of shad, keep checking them. The fish will eventually blow them up to the surface even if it's deep. Have fun and catch em up.

Sir, you are a true gentleman!! It is pretty rare that someone would be generous and brave enough to list his fish catching spots openly in the forum, other than Mr. Dennis Christian, rarely is someone So open with this info. I hate to travel and live right near Belton, but seeing this map makes me want to come up to Whitney and try my luck. The picture does tell a story and that is what you are showing looks a lot like where we are catching fish right now. A shallow flat near a channel and deeper water with any type of elevation changes.

Those Mcown flats and rock piles in the area have been a very productive area this summer along with the old HWY 22 road bed that runs from the main river channel towards the state park. The big flutter spoon bite will really start to pick up and be consistent in the coming days or weeks. Great post cheers

Appreciate the information. There was probably 20 boats on that spot yesterday morning lol. Located some big schools but the only ones we saw being caught were on live bait. thanks again

20 Boats on a fishing Spot. That is a slow day at Texoma. LOL. You normally can count 30-40 boats near the Dam on Texoma. If you go the islands. it's even worse. I have stopped fishing on the weekends at Texoma it's just too crazy or maybe I am just getting old and grumpy.

Many thanks to CenTexan and 44 Diesel!! Finally got a couple of nice stripers this weekend! It's always fun chasing the schools. But, getting a serious bend in the rod is an awesome feeling!

No, I was throwing the big slabs similar to what CenTexan and 44 Diesel were talking about. 3 and 4 inch chartreuse. Caught one jigging and caught one casting across the schools and letting it hit the bottom then bringing it back across below the school. Missed quite a few good hits on both methods.
