I've only been out to Fork a couple of times this year and that was months ago. Is there any areas with a decent amount of vegetation? If I am going to go out an not catch any, I would prefer doing it by throwing a frog or flipping/punching some grass. I don't have patience for finding off shore fish. I usually fish the West side out of habit. Any suggestions on where to look?

Plenty of it as Mark points out but this is one of the toughest times to fish it.

I was up in Running a bunch up till May. The lettuce was already pretty thick and the hydrilla was already starting to engulf my TM prop. Can’t imagine how thick it is up in there past the bridge now but I caught a ton of frog, buzz bait and swimbait fish and had a blast doing it. Now is also a good time of year to fish the submerged culvert just south of the running creek bridge too.

If you can't find em wind em.

Barns a good dude, always willing to help people. He’s not trying to be sneaky in this post.

But you’re right, lots of info seekers will be appearing shortly.

Forgot about Big Splash. However, I have 0% interest in fishing that. Anyway, it's on the wifey's birthday weekend we will be in Hilton Head baring any Hurricanes.

I fish Roberts 85% of the time. Most of the grass hasn't survived the water fluctuations on Roberts. I spent last weekend looking at new areas on Roberts without much luck for grass and/or fish.

Typically split the rest of my time between Fork, Texoma or Bonham. My default areas on Fork are Birch or Mustang on Fork. I didn't find much grass around there earlier this year. I don't have the patients most of the time to idle around offshore looking and not fishing. I'd rather just put the trolling motor down and cover water. I think I've only caught 2 frog fish and one fish punching some grass all year. violin hammer
