My main fishing lake is Lake Livingston, i have pulled out some decent 5-6 pounders and this past weekend i got a 16.5 pounder but other than that they're not really biting. we got a lake house this coming weekend and i want to go bait some holes early this week before we go to better our chances, what should i look for/ use?

I have read baiting with cottonseed cake draws in the bait fish. Which draws in the preditors? Im new to baiting a hole myself. But, it makes since. I have fished over soured milo a bunch, it seems to directly pull in the catfish. Channels mainly.

Baiting holes will bring in eater channels. As mentioned above, cotton seed cake may bring in the bait fish and a possibly a blue. If you are seeking big blues, scan around points that lead to deeper water, look for baitfish as the blues will be nearby. If your lake has a good population of white bass, find those schools too as the big blues will be lurking under them.

it doesn't necessarily have to be huge fish i just like seeing the kids smile when they grab the noodle with a fish on it, bigger fish are just a bonus! i read on another forum that rabbit food and range cubes were successful so i picked some of that up, willing to try anything, thanks for your response!
