I need to change the Fuel Water Separator on my 2019 Skeeter ZX225. I can see it is mounted behind the battery charger all the way back against transom. Its mounted at an angle. Is there any way to remove it without dumping gas into the bilge? My plan is to try to get some absorbent pads underneath it but access is very limited, it may not catch all or any of the gas.

Thanks, No room underneath for a bowl or pan. I've decided to use an absorbent pad and then just rinse out bilge. Skeeter mounts the filter in a very inconvenient place.

I cut a gallon milk jug in half and use the bottom under the filter when I unscrew it.
