Hey there. Been reading the interesting info and opinions here on TFF, finally came up with a topic to post about.

I'm looking at airbnb for a house to rent that has a boat house or dock on the premises. Primarily looking at Whitney, but open to other lakes as well. It's me, my wife, my 7yo son and we have a 3mo son, too. I don't have a huge boat, it's a Tracker V18 Tournament (the hull is between the modified V and the Deep V series) so if we set it all up for September some time and the wind is blowing on a good sized lake, its a bit of a problem. Then again, I was going to do some striper or hybrid fishing, but my son caught his first Black Bass yesterday and so we may end up fishing for those. roflmao

We have 2 dogs we need to take as well. I have found a couple on Whitney, which I love that lake, but I've been wanting to fish Cedar Creek, too, and they have sooo many boat docks and houses on that lake.

So again, howdy. And Suggest away!

Take a look at the VRBO site. You can narrow your search to Texas and then work the map for the area you want to stay.

We love our lake house we have had on Whitney for 12 years , but --- remember that Whitney is a lake the Corp. built for flood control . They will flood it anytime they feel like , and drain it also . It sucks when it is 16 ft, above and they take their time draining it . All the parks , boat ramps and marina's will be under water .
