Does anyone have any experience with this unit? We just bought one and it seems that there is not a slot for a map chip? How would we go about downloading the maps? TIA

The only maps the Striker series has is the ones you make using QuickDraw or Active Captain. It's unfortunate you didn't do more research before your purchase. A lot of people have done the same thing.

Yep, same here. I have the smaller version and you have to go into record mode in map mode for an area to save topography/depth.. But after that it is spot on..

All the above is true unfortunately. I learned the hard way as well, your not alone. But, Thru AC you can update maps that are 1 ft topo even from others that mapped it.
