I though the wind was supposed to blow today and day was likely to be cancelled? Looks calm to me, did they restrict the guys to the bay or was the weatherman wrong?

I just got back from the beach on the east coast. The weathermen (all of them, multiple forecasts online and the local guys) were wrong every single day. Every report I saw each day called for thunderstorms everyday, all day. I was on the beach each day with excellent weather, light ocean breeze, no thunderstorms.
That’s where I’d put my money to answer your question.

That’s where I’d put my money to answer your question. So do you think they were deliberately giving wrong forecasts to limit people going to the beach?

The two young guys made the run to big water, be interesting if they get any live footage from there 18+mph winds on the great lakes is massive
