taxes on the boat,motor,trailer even if you purchased in a person to person transaction?? Or, just paying the taxes on the trailer here in TX??

YEP. Taxes on everything. Stinks but every state is like that as far as I know.

I moved here from MN 4 years ago and had bought 2 boats from out of state when i lived there. both times, i had to 2 pay for taxes on the trailer only. Was hoping to buy a buddies Skeeter from MN next year and haul it back thinking i'm only going to pay taxes on the trailer here in TX..... Not the case fellas?

It is my understanding you must pay taxes on everything on the bill of sale. You buy a boat, you pay taxes on it. If you try to make it a low-ball price, they can apply fair market value for taxation purposes.

No you will pay for boat, motor and trailer. Just make sure that he breaks it down for the cost of each and get a bill of sale showing each price. Talk to TP&W before you buy to make sure that you get the correct info on how they want it done.
