The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fifth tournament of 2020 last Saturday August 8th on Lake Fork. Well it was August in Texas so the temperature was close to 100 but at least there was a breeze to help a little. Despite that we still had 41 boats come out to fish. The fishing was pretty tough for unders but there were three overs brought to the scales. When we were done, the team of Tommy Climer and Michael Yates won the day with a five fish limit that weighed 14.66 pounds and included the big bass of the tournament, an 8.88 monster. My apologies to all as with the sun straight overhead the shadow of everyone's hats made your faces too dark. I did the best I could but some are not great. Here are full results and pictures

You have to have a sense of humor fishing a tournament on Fork when things don't go well. Well played Vince!

Fishing his first RHBC tournament was Beau Mills. His family came out to weigh in. Great to see that!

It took some convincing to get guys to take pictures. Thanks to Tony Bryant for being a good sport

Mountain man Chris Lewis and Phillip Green weighed in two

[Linked Image]

James Clifton and Tommy Yates had a solid under that went 2.27

[Linked Image]

Great to have Herman Larkin back with us! He and Eric Giles had three for 2.76

[Linked Image]

Dennis and Damon Machost weighed a limit

[Linked Image]

Michael Parkes, both of them weighed in four for the day

[Linked Image]

Garrett Macias and Bobby Finta with another top 10 finish. They had a 2.38 under

Chris Atkinson and myself scratched out a limit with a couple decent ones

[Linked Image]

Paul Villarreal and Joe Ruiz with five that went 6.80

[Linked Image]

Another in the money finish for Brian Brooks and Steve Parrish with 7 pounds even. Yes, I know, I should have taken all the pictures there...

[Linked Image]

Jeff Cartwright and Jay Messersmith got fifth with a limit of 7.43 but Jay declined a picture

Fourth went to Randy and Howard Bunch. They only had two but one was this 6.85 over

[Linked Image]

Finishing third with an outstanding bag of unders that went 9.46 were James Sharp and Eddy Wooldridge

[Linked Image]

Second place went to last years Fork winners, Clark Crenshaw and Roddy Bieber with five for 11.75

[Linked Image]

For the second year in a row they caught an over. This one weighed 8.80 and is Roddy's personal best. Congrats!

[Linked Image]

Here are your winners. Tommy Climer and Michael Yates with a great Fork sack of 14.66. Well done gents!

Michael's 8.88 over was big bass of the tournament

Thanks to Chris Atkinson, Paul Spann, James and Shellye Crawford and Cameron Laing for keeping the car on the road! Great job! Our next tournament is Saturday September 12th at Cedar Creek going out of Log Cabin. Hope to see you there!

I’m not surprised Messersmith didn’t want a photo. Isn’t he wanted in 5 or 6 states?

Well, the members thought Falcon was too close so I'm pretty sure we're going to Lake Okeechobee in Florida.
