I have watched Like mix corn, strawberry jello and panko then catch huge Carp with it in Washington DC. Well does it work in Texas? So if I wanted to catch Carp what would be the very best bait I could use?I did buy some Carp bait at Walmart and blanked using it. I bait out holes at Fork for catfish and see Carp rolling on the surface many trips. I catch loads of catfish on Stubbys cheese bait and even caught some crappie on his cheese bait also. So until Stubby comes out with a Carp formula I must make something I guess. I plan to use Likes recipe from Catfish and Carp YouTube videos. I enjoy his videos especially how he includes his children in most of them. Now since I am a retired broke guy I don't want to be ordering some kind of [censored] from London. I got all of London I wanted when I lived there while working. Working is for all the guys that are putting off retirement till they die. I have had several of my friends for still working and they. Could have been fishing with me.

Keep it simple. If you know a place holds carp, boil some deer corn, throw it out a few days for chum, then show up and bait your line with sweet corn. I fish with the kids using nothing but corn and catch plenty of carp and buffs.

Keep it simple it is not the ratio that is important as the toughness of the bait to stay on a hook: Hersey old fashion powdered chocolate Mexican vanilla, not extracts Brown sugar crushed corn flakes- powder hopefully add water till a tough dough. if is to wet add uncooked out meal. should smell like chocolate candy. it take a few minutes to get the area smelly as water breaks it down.
another method is find snow cone favor concentrate and soak canned corn. bad thing is that some favors stains clothes and fingers.

Mine thru the years. You'll need some bread, cottonseed meal, vanilla extract, liquid (big red/orange soda or water). Start with 5 slices bread, soaked squishy, add enough meal to start making a dough & a little vanilla extract. Knead the doughball adding more water or meal as needed to make a formable ball. Change it up, experiment, have several different flavors to try.

I use to use Roman Meal bread mix and pure vanilla. Caught carp all the time as a kid. I haven’t fished for carp in over 40 years, but used to always catch nice ones on Lewisville when I was young.

I do not target carp but have caught plenty of nice ones using plain can corn and night crawlers.

Yes, Luke’s recipe from that video will absolutely catch fish, and is very similar to the packbait that I use.
