Hi All, Does any one know of a good carp fishing spot in Irving?
I would be nice to find a spot with less turtles, as that is what I have been catching a lot of.

Turtles may be a problem everywhere this time of year. Grapevine lake is a pretty consistent fishery.

This is a location close to you that is on the Texas Bank Fishing Map. If you haven't looked over that map, you may want to. This map has lead me to a lot of honey holes for Carp fishing.

I have a growing interest in a particular area in Irving, and thought I would reach out to see if anybody has ever casted a line out here. Has anybody had ever had any luck with carp in the body of water known as North Lake in Irving? Thanks in advance.
Give a man a fish he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend!

I've fished it two or three times, nothing much in the way of size but they're there! It's got both Carp and Buffalo, average is rather small in the single digits

There is alot of places to fish in your area. I love looking at google maps, zooming in, finding creeks, spillways, etc, that bleed from the river. Trace any creeks that bleed from the river into any ponds/lakes, those can be fantastic honey holes and can occasionally produce very... large fish. Also research and fish the canals. your mileage may vary, but it's worth exploring.
