Anybody have a favorite brand of action or tactical pants? I am looking for something casual everyday wear, but they will also likely find use hunting or hiking.

I have come to really appreciate the fit and feel of my Kuiu pants. The articulated knee makes a ton of difference in the way they feel. I've been looking at other "tactical" pants, but haven't found anything I really like. Biggest problem with most brands is that I am not looking to be GI Joe. I don't need or want 12 different cargo pockets and a bunch of D rings hanging off the beltloops. I don't have any NRA or Punisher skull bumper stickers on my truck, so I don't think I could adequately pull those off for everyday wear.

Something tells me that uglyschtick and flyfisherman have a prince albert style chain connecting their inside-the-pants D rings to their gooch tattoos.

The carhart ones from academy are tough and hold up real well. Although I wear them for work I wouldn’t recommend the 511’s. Way too thin for manly stuff outdoors.
