Hey Guys

I'm taking the family to the Corpus area next week. We will be there 5 days and my boys want to catch some speckled trout and reds. We are taking a guide one day but I cant afford to take a guide everyday.
Was hoping we could hit some local piers at night.

I was wanting to know if any of you had any recommendations on what piers we might try at night while we are there and what techniques might work best.

We were thinking of hitting Goose Island State park and maybe something around the JFK Causeway.

Bob Hall and Red Dot piers. We did some sail lining before you get to Red Dot in early May. We did good on the specs using live mullet. It was too cold to get in the water the days we were there.

Keep in mind that a lot of piers were damaged or destroyed during Hurricane Harvey and may not be completely repaired. Hopefully someone from the area will chime in with more info.

You can also fish the ROCKPORT Pier at the end of East Market st, it’s only a few years old and free.

Indian point pier off the portland causeway has a bunch of new rock groins I've been wanting to try.
fin & feather on the Port A causeway has a fishing pier that is operational and is right on Morriss and cummings cut.

Does anyone know if Goose Island pier is open?

i used to take my kids there a couple of times a summer, i dont want to make the drive from SA if its not open...

anyone?

Island Bayfront Area Closure
July 28, 2020 - The Island Bayfront area and fishing pier are closed for construction and repairs of hurricane damage. The closure is expected to last several months. This will impact fishing and birding access and other day-use activities. Visitors must stay out of closed areas.

Fulton Pier is still gone, supposedly with plans to build a new one.

The closure of the Copano/JFK causeway piers was a bummer to me. Loved fishing that pier at night.

i was in port a last week and the pier on beach street is the only pier open. Its lighted too. Red top is open back up at the causeway.
