Hello,
I’m sure this has been discussed before; however, I’m going to plan a trip around the 3rd week of October to take my dad to Venice Louisiana to try and have the redfish trip of a lifetime. I’ve already done some google research and some of the guide/lodge combos that are at the higher end of the spectrum probably won’t work for us. Any suggestions on guides and lodging would be appreciated.

Wish I could help more, about all I know is the redfishing is on fire from what I hear. Will be watching though, as I've wanted to do a trip like that as well.

Did this trip several years ago—best fishing trip I’ve ever done

I just stayed at the farthest south of New Orleans national hotel chain and woke up at 0400 for the 90minute drive to the Venice Marina

Another option—there is a marina that some guides use half way between New Orleans and Venice. I’ll have to look it up.

I’d stay at Patty’s Place B&B and fish with Captain Hoop out of the Venice Marina—He was 72years old when I fished with him in 2014, but he had the energy of a 40yo

Been fishing several years with Reel tite and Boola. Really consistent year after year.

I got to go back in 2015 about this time and it is hotter than hell down there, but the red's are unbelievable, take you some ibuprofen as you will need it.
