Vegan teetotalers can get gout although everything you mention can be involved. Arthritis cousin which may or may not be controlled with diet. Its a real beech when it hits you!

Colchecine ( sp ) will knock it out in a hurry, don't get too far from the bathroom after about 3 of them.

My Dr perscribed something that starts with a C as I recall, foot to sore to find the bottle and see if its the same. He gave me some steroids also that makes me sweat like pig for a couple of hrs after I take them.

Neuropathy is also some fine pain

2 eyedropper full in a glass of water. Taste like tree bark, but within 2 hours relief. Minor cases or when I feel my toe getting tight, one dose usually works. Bad cases for me, not being able to walk at all or walking on my heal with severe pain every step, with the 2nd day 2nd dose it's gone by the next day.

As said no alcohol , little meat , and little salt will help . Once I started a 20mg/day of Allipurinol I have been trouble free even while eating and drinking whatever I liked . Good luck to you .

This. I haven't had a flare up in over 5 years. And what Happykamper said about Colchecine is true. I had about 30 seconds notice to hobble my way to the bathroom. If you have ever taken a colon prep, it is the same thing.

I've had gout for 20 years. don't take any regular meds. I get a flare up once a great while and thye are usually bad. Gout will spread through your body also. I have it in my feet and one knee.
