Taking notes on upcoming purchase.

Lowrance, hummingbird, or Garmin with ability to add livescope later?

SI and DI is a must now.

Hard to operate? Screen failures?

Tell me why.... Thanks.

I’ve been doing the same research, and this is mostly what I’m hearing, especially from a couple guides I know. Not that particular unit especially, but Garmin. That’s the way I’m going.

Am I seeing that the unit by itself cost 2500?

Forgot to mention the budget is 1500-2000

Best Bang is the GARMIN ECHOMAP™ ULTRA 122SV W/GT54UHD-TM TRANSDUCER 010-02113-01 and the Ultra LakeVu Card will give you more features over the standard maps that come on the 126sv. The 122sv is the same unit but w/out maps. You purchase the map card as mentioned for better mapping. The high-resolution relief shading is awesome stuff not offered on the standard mapping with the 126sv.

GARMIN ECHOMAP™ ULTRA 122SV W/GT54UHD-TM TRANSDUCER
010-02113-01
$2599.99

Garmin LakeVü g3 Ultra U.S. - West
010-C1205-00
$189.99

Total Package $2789.98 (better mapping and $10 buck cheaper than the 126sv w/GT54UHD TM Transducer) thumb

Let me know if I can assist you further.
David
