Following. My 2004 Lund carpet is getting pretty worn out. I'm considering replacing it with marine grade vinyl flooring. But I would like to see other options as well.

Seadek like that link is what I'm looking into using. But true anti skid like what's used on skateboards gets very hot in Texas sun. I have a contact for a company in Lewisville from a guy that someone on here recommended to me. I haven't called yet as I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet. Send m a pm if you would like his information.

Turns out Safefloor is more $$$ than I want to spend at this time.
The only thing carpeted on my boat are the hatch covers and front deck ( 2000 BlueWave CC,) the front deck is not very big. Over the week end , I pulled all the hatches (4), removed carpet and sanded down. Not really that hard. this weekend , I will pull carpet from front deck and prep it. Depending on the weather. I am going with Tuff Coat. I've watched all the you tube videos. I am pretty sure I can do this. Waiting on Amazon,
good luck to everybody.

I gave up on the carpet in my 1993 16 ft Lowe . Every panel and hatch had to be removed to get the carpet off since the carpet went over the edges and onto the back of the panels a few inches . Removal of the carpet adhesive was a little bit more of a challenge than I expected . I used Raptor Liner truck bed liner in light grey and applied with a cheap Harbor freight drywall hopper gun with the small nozzle at 80 psi and about 3 ft spray distance . I had to give it 3 coats of the liner because if you get it to thick it tries to run and sag before it gets a chance to firm up . Repairing a sag was easy , just went over it with a DA sander with 80 grit to smooth it out and remove the bulge it made and the next coat hides it like it was never there . Its not the smooth splatter look but more of a 40 grit sand paper look . I know its not for everyone but for a minimal investment I made a inexpensive boat look a little better than it did with rotting carpet . I did end up pulling the side console back out and removed the texture . I didn't like the look of every surface being textured . Light grey gets to hot in the sun for me so I then painted over the texture with Seattle grey polyurathane and couldn't be happier . ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-89612-64381-img_20200624_153028600.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-89612-64382-img_20200717_125408424.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-89612-64383-img_20200807_193523023.jpg)

^ that looks phenomenal!
Iโm in the process of applying KiwiGrip to my โ78 Ray Craft. Have already done all the hatch covers and will eventually do the floor and front deck. Very easy to apply - spread it out like mayo then roll using the included open-cell roller fro achieve the non-slip finish. I got light grey but it almost looks white. Thank you . I might have tried the KiwiGrip if I could have seen examples as nice as yours . The few I saw looked like you could see the roller tracks and I was trying for something that didn't look to much like diy . The results your getting look outstanding .

There were definitely obvious roller tracks when first rolled but I just kept rolling in a crosshatch pattern until they disappeared. Really didnโt take much time at all (I did kind of rush the process and wound up getting some small air bubbles that eventually popped and left tiny voids in spots - may try a 2nd coat).

I used KiwiGrip in my Blue-Wave and it turned out pretty dang good. Also used the light grey which is pretty close to white after it's applied. I've heard you can take it to a HW store to change the color but I was ready to just get it done. Only hiccup I had was my cat jumped in my boat when it was still wet, so I have a couple of paw prints on the floor!
