I have a pontoon on Grapevine. For fun, we'll go out and anchor off the rocky long point at Murrell Park. About every 15 minutes we'll move 20 yards closer to the shoreline and count the wakeboats that have the entire lake to go around but choose to shoot that gauntlet between pontoon and shore. It's a well known sandbass spot so we'll fish (casting towards shore) while we watch the boats and it's amazing (or not) how little courtesy these guys have. I think the closest we've been able to get to shore and still have a boat go between us is about 20 yards. You could build a giant rock pile between you and the shore for some extra fun!

My new shipment of 2oz egg sinkers just came in, so you wakeboard puffies better look out! Stay away! This is my first trip on the water since May 24th and I wanna catch some fish. I'll be fishing offshore so I will forewarn you to turn about face if you see me. Don't approach me or come by me or I will shorten my supply of 2oz bombers quite rapidly. Gonna be hot, so I'll beat most of you out. You fishermen come see me at the crack of dawn. I'll be on the dam at GV at first light. We will team up on those wakeboard freaks!  Awh them innercity Lakes.More fun boats then fishing boats. Gotta get along.

I got 2 biggens in my sack and it ain't even daylight! It gonna be a good day..... Pics or it didn't happen The wakeboats didn't bother me cause I stayed away from them. I actually encroached one trying to get to one of my holes. Oh, well. They were too busy plowing to know the difference. GV fish are definitely cooperating. I fished until noon and caught prolly 16 or 17 total. I took pics of my three best. Nicely done! The Vine can be fine at times. I was kinda hoping to hear about an incident with the plow boys, maybe next time.

Secret is out, carolina rigged soft boiled floatin’ toads along the dam - 2 oz weight to keep the toad down deep.
