Has anyone had the testicular fortitude to try and fish it lately? My new job puts me a 10 minute drive from it and thought about going one day after work. Was just curious if anyone has been recently and how long it took before someone ran them off.
Thanks!

Live 10 minutes from there. Have not fished but spent time at several of the restaurants that overlook the lake. From my vantage point-it's super shallow, filled with carp and catfish and very few baitfish. Don't see any minnows or perch (baitfish in general) swimming around the reeds/rocks. Water is very stained due to all the construction/mud/silt. For what it's worth, I have never seen someone walking the banks fishing.

Back in the day that was a fun little lake to drop the two man boat into and catch a variety of fish.

Yeah, I walked around a little bit today on my lunch break. Seen several gar but also a bit of bait actually. Certainly gonna have to give it a go next week just because. I could certainly see there being some big crappie in there.

I've tried a few times. First cast, in the rocks under the restaurant, caught a 3lb bass.
The signs say fishing is allowed.
I've walked the east bank from the water feature to the second cove. Super shallow within casting distance. I won't be going back until I can launch the kayak.

Just saw that someone was pulled out of the lake yesterday according to the DFW Scanner group due to bad undertows.
