I had a trailer light go out . The bulb was in this bubble thing.I couldn't just change the bulb .
I bought a new light fixture and it lasted 2 trips and it evidently not as water proof as it is supposed to be.
Any suggestions on what to get that is good quality?
what do yall use?

petro or T/A truck stops have the good leds, may have to wire in the plugs for them but they are waterproof.

I bought this kit and haven't had any issues in last year. I used to blow a bulb almost ever trip from water touching the bulb. I didn't re run the wire I just used the wire that was already ran.

I always unplug trailer light before backing into water and reconnect after the boat is back out of the water. I have all leds that are supposed to be waterproof, but I just made it a habit to unplug them.

My trailer has LED's and I never unplug when I launch. Average 2 or more trips a week for the past three and a half years and haven't blown one yet.

Submersible LEDs are far and away the best solution.
Brighter/safer on the road
Will last years longer than bulbs
Easy install.

Incandescent bulbs will constantly fail on any part of the trailer, especially the areas that get submerged.

I would like to change mine to LEDs. Can't find the ones that will fit in the trailer fender holes in my Ranger Trailer. Can't use the square style light fixture, won't fit.

What type of holes are in yours?

Mine had the rectangular/oval lights that "snap in" and they were changed to LED's.

Type your trailer model and the words replacement LED and etrailer.com into google and see what generates.

I did this for my trailer and etrailer.com had several threads on exactly which LEDs would work for my 2010 Karavan trailer.
Ordered the LEDs online and they fit perfectly.

Link to etrailer trailer lights search
replacewithLEDs

For example, The google search above, then clicking on the etrailer karavan thread yields the results below

It's an '02 trailer. Inset and curved on the outer edge.
