I now have a Pontoon Boat at Canyon Lake I named "The SS Compromise" because it allows me to fish while my wife and girls can also use it for relaxation during the off fishing hours. It has a great Lowrance Hook 7 fish finder that came with it and I am currently trying to learn as I also get used to the structure around Canyon Lake. My luck has not been very good since this is a hard lake, so I figured misery loves company. I am not retired just yet but I am trying to act like it. I can do early morning weekends and potentially evenings. But unfortunately I do have to coordinate around work. Private message me if you are interested.

Fish there occasionally because it is closest lake to my house. Typically catch two to four fish, sometimes nada. NEVER over two pounds. Go there to "exercise" the boat. Probably best success has been using very light line. Drop shot, carolina rig and sometimes small crank baits. Have about as much success catching small mouths as largemouths. Been that way for years at least for me. The guys that have them figured out dont do much talking.
