I'm doing quite well and I have no idea what I'm doing. So, maybe ya ought to invest some.
Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's an EMP!

The price of gold has gone through the roof. That's a hint.

What does that mean to you? In short, it means a bubble. Q2 GDP was pretty abysmal - and expected. Jobless claims are tragically high, and continued jobless claims are going up, as well. We are seeing an employment situation like we haven't seen since the Depression. We have all these people hanging on by a thread, and the market is pricing in another stimulus package happening so these folks can (hopefully) keep their heads above water and not start defaulting on everything they own. Investors, notably institutional investors (to an unusual level this time around), are flooding into gold and silver. They are looking for safety that isn't in the traditional space of government bonds. You're seeing the spot price of gold singing because there is no real yield left in the bond market. The reason you're not finding the bond yield is that the Fed has committed to keeping their boot on interest rates until we can ramp up to 2%+ inflation. They'd even tolerate 4%. So you've got the Fed keeping rates low, driving money to alternatives like precious metals, giving a bump to growth stocks, and fueling this market we're seeing - and it is all happening against the backdrop of everything I mentioned in that first paragraph. That's kind of the short of it, but that's a bubble. It is an absolute fact that this market is somewhat disconnected from reality.

Crypto doing very well too... I was able to pull out of the market right at the initial crash in Jan and put it back in to crypto and stocks in March-May.... Bitcoin was $5000 at the time...now $11,700 -LINK (my largest holding) was $2 & now its just under $10... Timing was good and somewhat lucky. I had pulled out money to fund our Texoma lakehouse then this crapola hit.....so we delayed Texoma for a few months and put it back in the market. House will be a little bigger now And with all the money printing going on with the USD....and trillions being put into the US, the hedge with crypto (gold/silver too) is a good time.
A MAN WILL NEVER GO TO HIS GRAVE WISHING HE'D FISHED LESS!!

I saw an article recently that made me chuckle. It was from Motley Fool. The title was "These 3 stocks are absurdly overvalued right now". Not just overvalued, but absurdly overvalued. They were momentum tech stocks and it would seem that money is pouring into these stocks right now. Many have doubled and some have tripled off the March lows. At times in history the market is not rational and this may be one of those times. Bull & Bear markets can run longer than you would think they can.
