Was it just me, or did anyone else struggle with the fishing around this full moon? I was on them real good, catching 50 by mid day, then last Thursday went out for a 1/2 day and only caught 20, then Saturday only produced 10, then Sunday 24. I can remember Lindy Roberts always saying the bass fishing was always tough on Ray Roberts around the full moon, but I would have never guessed it affected the crappie as well.

Friday evening was a struggle. Only boated a few and one nice keeper. From IDB creek to Buck. You'd feel a tap but no takers. The few we caught smoked it, not sure what we are doing wrong.

We could see em on Livescope, they just wouldn't bite at some locations. The catfish were going crazy cruising around eating the grass hoppers on the surface.

My neighbor and I went out on Saturday , mostly a tutorial on his new lowrance Elite Ti unit. We transferred all the waypoints from my unit to his, that worked out
great

Did a lot of looking , found a couple new piles , but when we did stop to fish , it was terribly slow. We were back at the dock at 12:30 ,
so I don't know if it picked up later or not,

good luck

Wife and I fished Sunday morning to take advantage of the nice weather. It was very slow for us compared to the past few weeks. We finished up with about 30 but had to hit tons of waypoints to get there. Lots of fish at each spot but very few takers. First time All year I’ve had to put crappie nibbles on but they wouldn’t touch a bait without one on. Not very often we get a 67 degree morning in August though so I’ll take the slow day in return for the cool weather!!

It's been tough on most lakes for the past 3wks or since the last super bright full moon... The fish i am catching are plum full and as bright as the moon has been I feel they're on a feeding frenzy at night and relaxing during the bright hot daytime hours.....
Sticking and moving is a must to get a decent box of fish.....

Full moon typically makes it a later bite for me.

I usually take off from crappie fishing in July and August. Once September gets here and the weather and water start to cool off the catching is just so much earlier. I think the water temperature makes a difference in the way the fish bite too. Not so much with bass they School like crazy, but the crappie aren't that hungry when it's really Hot.

Everything that has been posted just confirms what I have experienced in the past.
