Went to Southlake in Farmersville which I have heard really great things about. Great place to take the kayak. I got there later than I would have liked but was able to make a good trip out of it and was able to land some bass as well as a surprise catch. Once the heat wore me out I headed home to wait till the evening to fish a reservoir in the Mckinney area. Was also able to pick up some fish there.

I was not overly familiar with Southlake at all and was not sure if one thing worked better than the other. Do you know of a specific method or bait that has been a success for you in this lake?

The water clarity at the first place was great!
The bullfrog was cool also, I’ve caught a few in years past but it’s been a while-

I also liked that you didn’t just show us the bigger catches, we all have those dink days, seems like I have more dink days than biggun days, but at least you were able get out and enjoy whatever the day gave you-

The water clarity was amazing at the first place but I wish I was able to figure out the fish though. Yes, not all days are good ones and I feel that being real from that perspective is important. The bad days only make the good days that much better. I appreciate the feedback!
