Time I agree is a big deal and retirement goes with that. I was a weekend fisherman before retirement. That is every weekend rain, sleet, snow or 106 degrees.

The thing that helped me most are the people on TFF. I know this site has changed a lot over the years and a lot of people don’t posts on here anymore that gave out a lot on knowledge and info but there are still a lot of great people on here. El Gato is one of them. He has given me a lot of info over the pat 1-2 years. Micheal Littlejohn is another that has helped me out tremendously.
I try to share info when I have something worth saying. Haha

Keep up the good work people.
I read and participate somewhat on several outdoor forums, but I have to agree with Blue Blazer. Fishermen are supposed to be close mouthed except when they’re lying about the size of the fish they caught, but this group is most helpful.

I also benefited tremendously from information you all provided years ago when I first joined the forum. All I fished where I grew up in the north was fast rivers for channel and flathead. Throw your chicken liver or cut bait in the current and catch fish. Not so much here in Texas. Thank you all.

Hands down this section in the TFF changed the amount of fish and the size of fish I started catching, and it’s never been the same- And drilling down being able to fish with Tom Gravely, aka Stinkbait Tom was the biggest start to my learning, and then so many after that that shared info on here and also tome on the water as was said-
These two fish and so many others would have never happened If I had not found this forum and the great guys that helped me-
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

YouTube videos of Catfish Dave, Kayak Catfish, etc. I grew up in Texas and fished Lake Lewisville until I moved to Alabama. Fishing for catfish here is a whole different ball game. I had to change over to a whole new way of fishing on the Tn River. Here they prefer live or cut bait over prepared baits. Always have a current and learn how to fish it. So on, so on.

I began designing and catfishing with noodle sticks last spring. I have had so much fun and success using this passive method of fishing. I have made dozens of fishing trips to dozens of spots on Lewisville and Ray Roberts over the last year or so. I have never been skunked and even caught a limit of blues in about two hours back in May!
