High viz mono no leader. Sounds like I need to try high viz braid!

On Ray Roberts, I fish high vis with no leader. They don't seem to mind.

Seems like this question comes up as often as who makes the best Crappie Rod.
Personal Preference comes into play on this issue like anything else with regards in fishing.
Do what makes you happy. Fish with whatever makes you happy.
Try both ways.
Use a Leader or Dont use a Leader:
It doesn't matter until it does.
Color of bait doesn't matter until it does.
Netting or Slinging a fish in the boat doesn't matter until it does.
I personally use a leader.
That's my personal preference. It makes me happy.
Good Luck finding and using what makes you happy.
Tight Lines! What he said.^^^ Definition of "clear water" might be useful. Few lakes are what I define as clear. Canyon, Stillhouse, Belton, PK come to mid. There are times on Belton when you can see an 1/8 oz chart head and a white/chart rocky top jig body 12-13 ft deep. You can also see a 1 gal white jug at 16-17 ft deep. When fishing this type clear water, you need every advantage you can get.

I use a hi-vis braid with no leader. Livescope has shown me that the fish do not seem to be bothered by braid straight to the jig. If you prefer to have a leader, no problem, use what you you are confident in  what knot are you using to tie the jig to braid? Have a Blessed Day!
