In the mid 80s I was working in a small north Texas town as a Leo,I became friends with a lady who would go on to be all around cowgirl that year, she was a flight attendant for delta and got to know Mr, Brimley that way,he provided her top of the line roping horses at all the major venues on the west coast which allowed her to win the all around cowgirl award that year,as chance would have it I stopped by her house one day and as she invited me in ,she was on the phone with Willford Brimley, she handed me the phone and he thanked me for keeping an eye on his favorite cowgirl and thanked me in general for being a Leo,we talked for a few minutes and he hung up,it was with out a doubt the highlight of my year,I never had the honor of meeting him in person but had huge respect for him for taking the time to talk to me,may he Rest In Peace, a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
