So had something happen today with cranks that I'd never had before. I was throwing a shallow running crank on a rock jetty and get a bite and then nothing, slack line. I reel in and see it was cut kinda clean so figured gar or sharp rock and didn't think much more about it. I retie on another crank and the boat drifts off a little so reposition and cast back towards the jetty again and 2 casts later BAM I catch a 14" bass that has TWO cranks in his mouth!! Guess he was really hungry and still in the same area. Anyhow have had this happen before with soft plastics but never crankbaits! Also got a really nice Huk long sleeve fishing shirt from the wifey recently and it had some good luck! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/08/full-94570-61696-20200801_124710.jpg)

I have never had that happen to me before but I saw something crazy in Canada a few years back. A guy was fishing from one of the back chairs on our pontoon boat. He caught a smallmouth, took the fish off and laid his rod down with the crankbait floating on top of the water. After a minute or two, he dropped the fish back in the water. The fish did a complete U-turn and grabbed his floating crankbait. Wild.
Be safe, Rayzor ![[Linked Image]](http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp267/JLedbetter/th_Boatpics036.jpg) 2001 Triton Tx-21/225 Mercury EFI

I always wish the bass that breaks off with my 6XD in its mouth will bite the next one I throw so I can recover it. You lucked out.
Congrats.

That has never happened to me before with a crank bait. I've had it happen with a plastic worm but that is different. Thanks for sharing.

Small club tourney two guys on one boat cast to a stump, both get bit one spinner bait one crank bait same fish.... both landed almost the same time, fish hit the crank then the spinner they thought but was honestly to close to tell.

Buddy and I had that happen on Rayburn in a tournament years ago. I flipped to one side a bush he flipped to the other. We set the hook almost exact same time and fought each other for a second or two before thinking we were tangled. Only when the fish hit the carpet did we realize both of our baits were in its mouth.
I can backlash toilet paper.
