Met James Hatfield and Cliff Burton after a show with Armored Saint back in 1984 ( I believe) at the Arcadia Theater. We were there with Dimebag and Vinnie Paul from Pantera. Vinnie handed them a demo cassette. They ended up jamming together for a couple days up in Muenster Tx.

I give Metallica Black album the edge slightly over Pantera Far Beyond Driven album. Only because I’m broken is most bad azz heavy metal song ever.

1st time I saw Pantera(1988) they sounded like JP
