Had Lou and Mondo out for some slab therapy recently. We fished brush all morning and although it was a grind we were able to put 50 fish in the cooler and they had some really good ones! The fish are super picky right now. Some piles are absolutely loaded with fish and we can’t buy a bite! I give em 2-5 minutes tops and we’re on to the next one. Some gave up 1-2. Some gave up 4-5 and we had one pile give up maybe a dozen. 1/16 oz hand ties on Limits tackle jig heads in Shad color and purple and chart and Constant Pursuit Outfitters thump chubbies in white hot worked best for us! You had to drop down in the pile and pull the jig up out of the pile most of the time to get a bite. 14-24’ piles were best for us. Keep on the move and you should be able to box a solid mess of fish!

Thanks for fishing with me guys! My earliest availability is Sunday Aug 9th and Wed the 12th!

Been in the Ozarks letting little man teach me how to catch trout so just now seeing this! Here’s what’s been working for me lately! Thump chubbies on 1/16 oz heads and Shad colored hand tie in 1/8oz on Limits Tackle jig heads.

Same tactic I've been having to use on crappie with lock jaw. Raise the jig real slow to make the fish thinks it's getting away. Guess it triggers a reactive strike. Looks like Lou and Mondo caught on pretty quick... thumb
