There were two to pick from on this particular model, Kohler 27hp and Kawasaki 23hp. I got the Kawasaki. After talking with folks and reading reviews, Kawasaki was hands down, the favorite.

Dude, that is sweet. My only problem with that is getting around too many overhanging limbs and trees and tight spots overhead. I’ll prolly drop the ROPS down for a while until I can whack some overgrowth along some fence lines. Once we get this place cleaned up more, I will most definitely look into the sunshade. I didn’t know they had that. TY

What....having to mow? What sucks for me is we won’t be living here until Spring 2023. I get to go back and forth (5hrs one way) until then to keep this place up. Winter time is my friend. I like dormant grass.

Nice XTR! OP I'm in the same boat as you. Just bought a new Bad Boy Maverick last week, only mowed once. Went with the Maverick because of the suspension; my land is very rough and bumpy.
