I've recently gotten back to bass fishing after a very very long break. I've been using and really liking spinnerbaits. I don't remember using or being successful with them much before but have had good results lately. I know they aren't new and trendy right now but have been amazed with the results.

I've been using Booyah and Strike King. I've caught some good bass and even a nice catfish. I like the fact that they are not prone to getting snagged and can be dragged through rocks and stumps.

Anyone else really like and use spinnerbaits? Any favorite brands, models or colors? I've been changing out the main willow blades for Colorado. I prefer 3/8 ounce.

Recommendations and experiences are welcome and appreciated.

My first largemouth was caught on a spinnerbait in ‘87. My largest for a long time was caught on one too. I’ve always loved them and always have one ready to throw, even though I’ve got way too many other baits in my boat and all around the house. Just can’t go wrong with them and so many ways to fish them. Timeless!

Generally, will always have a SB in my arsenal. I keep it simple. I throw one brand only, Screamin' Eagle by WarEagle 1/2oz. It has the smaller 1/4oz blades so you can burn them if needed and stay under the water. Try waking them some time when the SB bite is on and you'll realize you don't need another kind. I believe they quit making my favorite color, Hot blue herring. Hot white Chart and Hot Mouse are my go-to's now.

Love spinnerbaits. Especially at night.

Had a 33 fish morning 6-9 am bite on Welsh years ago using just a 1/4 oz war 🦅.

98% of my spinnerbaits are old and corroded. I probably only tie one on 2 or 3 days a year. I used to fish them a lot more regularly but I am not much of a shallow water fisherman anymore lol.

Slow rolled out deep is forgotten magic.

I still use spinnerbaits. I always have one tied on. My favorite is the old Terminators with titanium wire. Not sure why they quit making them with titanium. This time of year I throw a 1/4 oz double willow blade with a white War Eagle skirt.
