No matter what time of the week you go....Jordan is a cluster as of late due to "working from home."

Can't wait for it to start cooling off, then I'll be able to launch and not fear for my life due to drunken idiots or disgruntled parents yelling at their families.

If that pic is directly behind the island that clear area around stumps/trees on the other side of grass on top is a creek channel. Back in the day caught some giants there and had two I couldn’t turn. I fished sand and other areas from canoe as the lake filled and know it well. For me Roberts always fished shallow all year and was good top water lake on the main lake mid day when it was in the 100s. Fished used to love to get in the tree tops out in deeper water in summer and late winter. Also there was always a late afternoon just before dark bite there it seemed. If it sets up right fish inside grass lines this spring in Feb and early March back in the creeks. The however is I haven’t fished it in like 10 years as moved the boat it East .......

This pic was north of the island close to the road you drive into the Jordan park on. But there is grass pretty much everywhere from bank out to 4-5’ and I could see it on the bottom a little farther out on my sonar but it wasn’t as thick. It was pretty hard to get any lures threw it I tried to run a chatterbait over the top of it but kept getting the lure wrapped in grass. I was able to flip some and drag a frog over the top but didn’t get any action except a drum that got my hopes up for about a second. It looks great could have been time of day but I got no love from the bass lol.

I believe that’s Milfoil. Cought some back there on a Ribbit earlier this year. Couple real nice ones. It’s all over the lake.

It all looks the same to me lol. I’m certainly no biologist or botanist.

Here is a good link to plant identification.
https://aquaplant.tamu.edu/plant-identification/

I haven't seen any milfoil in the areas I have fished. Starting to see some place that might be coontail but it's sparse. Neither are near thick enough or tall enough to mat on the surface. Only the pond weed in places seem to be doing that. The grass on Roberts goes through cycles over the years due to the water fluctuations. Some years it's pond weed, then milfoil, then coontail and then some hydrilla. It's been that way for the last 20 years. I primarily fish above mid-lake (eastern / upper) so I can't say for the west side.
