Landed last night at 5:55 pm at Mustang Creek Park pond in Waxahachie. Ultralight rod and 10 lb braid with a watermelon-copper-orange senko on a 5/0 offset hook. Just for reference the rod length from base to first eyelet is 30.75 inches and my boot is size 11.5 measuring 13.75 inches heel-to-toe.
Any estimates on size for this?

Funny, was just fishing for largemouth and he hit. My rod was pretty much an upside down U. After showing to a family with a little boy, was released healthy back into the pond.

Nice. I bet that was exciting.

What was your guess on weight? Hard to guess without seeing a person holding it.

PB flathead 34.5 lbs - I know it's small but it was still the record for Lake Travis when I caught it!
PB Blue 58.5 lbs jugline 43.5 lbs on R&R which was the other Lake Travis record when caught.

I usually try not to guess weight but what I’m SURE of is that is nice fish caught in an unusual way-
Nice catch!

I would also say about 10. On Lewisville you can't keep between 30-45 inches. I've caught several 28-32 inches and it seems 30 inch is just about exactly 10 on a healthy fish.
