I'm looking for a new worm rod in the $100-150 price range. I would rather spend on the low end of that range but wouldn't mind going up to 150 for a good worm rod. I've tried cheapr rods in the $60-100 category but so far really liked the Dobyns Fury 703. Currently looking at something from Duckett, Powell, or Falcon although another Dobyns would be just as nice. Any help appreciated.

You might try the 704 instead especially if you are going into heavier cover or heavier baits. Personally I thought the 703 had a lighter tip better suited for finesse worms or smaller creature baits.

Agree about the 704.

The Dobyns Sierra is much better than the Fury. Worth the extra $60 for me.

Impulse Energy. Great company. Their black Rods are even better and made in Texas. Make a fantastic rod.

Check out the Falcon Lowrider series of rods. Very good rods for the money.
