The only blue colored lure I have is some black and blue jigs with a blue craw trailer. Curious about worms. When is a good time to use the blue colored worms. The only color I have or have ever thrown is watermelon red and green pumpkin.

Seems to me I do better with blue in cooler temps but that might go with I have seen more blue on crawfish in the fall than any other time of he year. Water clarity varies so I drop it in and see how it looks a foot down or so. It has done good for me in stained to muddy water for sure. It also does not mean I would not throw it in the summer. Hope this helps.

Black and blue worms have caught them in every lake I’ve fished with any stain in the water.

Lots of different shades of blue
The lighter blue colors are incredible in clearer water
For example, morning dawn (pinkish blue), ProBlue, and Aaron’s Magic

The darker blueish colors are really good in heavy stained water
Sapphire blue, electric blue

Some blue laminate colors do well in all kinds of water clarity Example: Okeechobee craw.

IDK but my nephew bought some electric blue culprit worms and they are killing them, I mean absolutely killing them last few weeks. I've always used their fire and ice color but never this one.

Electric Blue Mann’s Augertail worms were my go to when I was young.

I wished they still make the black/blue worm and lizard with the powder blue tail. That was a good fish catcher.

+1 on the Okeechobee (blue flake/green pumpkin). Been killing them all summer on Strike King Ochos in this color.

Any dark/electric blue paired with black or dark green works great, especially in stained or muddy water!

Gene Larew makes a really cool looking Watermelon Blue color. I throw it in their 12" ESG Worms and the Biffl-o lizard which unfortunately has been discontinued.

Blue or black/blue work 24/7 anywhere anytime. All you want is for a fish to see it. Black always will stand out against a background of light or dark.

If it was a stupid idea, you can be assured I have already done it
