I am new to the area. Plan on fishing Belton tomorrow. I live a couple of minutes from Cedar Ridge Park so we will be putting in there. Any suggestion for this end of the lake?

I'm not real familiar with the lake, but we did spend a few days down there starting to prepare for the THSBA State tournament that got canceled. We didn't find a ton but we did find some fish in a few spots. Check the bridge that crosses the lake up on the north end. Lots of fish suspended on that bridge. Fish a senko on the pilings and throw a jerkbait. You will catch a bunch of small fish but there are some big ones there to. Other than that its main lake points from 15ft-30ft. Mainly catching them on dropshot and a finess shaky head. If you can find some isolated brush on those main lake points in 20ft+ water there will be fish on it. We actually had good luck setting up right on top of those fish and putting a dropshot right on them. Doesn't seem right on a lake that clear but that seemed to be the presentation they wanted. That was a few weeks back so things could have changed. Maybe that will help you a little.

in my experience from a few months ago, the boat traffic made fishing the south end of the lake just this side of impossible. once the hangovers wear off the wake boats, ski boats, leisure boats and jet skis kill the lake. the covid effect has completely over pressured the lake. that's about all i can add...........
