My Ultrex wouldn't work this morning, the power button light on the foot pedal is on but the unit won't change direction nor will the prop come on. If anyone might know what the problem is or know of someone here in central Tx that works on them I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Mine did that a few times. Turned it off and back on. Worked.

I was with a buddy the other day and was having problems with this as well... he would tap the trolling motor head in front of the prop with a screwdriver and it would work again

Parker Marine in Boerne has done all of my warranty work

Does the remote work? Does the remote say the motor is deployed?

You know about the prop on/off button on the lower left of the pedal, right? And there is another button to pair the remote.

If you get the remote paired and it will operate it fine, then the foot pedal has a board in it that will need to be repaired. Happened to the last two I had, both right at a year of operation. MK has extended the warranties on Ultrexs, so should be under warranty.

I'd remove the bottom cover of the foot pedal and make sure no connectors came loose before taking it in for repair

Check your breaker for the trolling motor. If you're not getting enough power to the TM it'll do that too

I took it to TBW and it was the battery charger on the boat, one side was dead and killed one of the batteries, they replaced both while I waited. Those guy's are top notch.

You should invest in a $10 hydrometer at the auto parts store, and you would be able to determine you have a bad battery at home. (assuming you have wet cell batteries - a voltmeter would be the way in that case)

99.9999% of the time, breakers are either fully-on, or fully-off. I fail to see how a breaker would have any likelihood of having anything to do with his problem since the "Power" LED on the TM was on.
