Heading to Lake Hamilton AR for a week next Sunday and was curious if anyone knows any guides up there. I saw a few striper guides but the family is requesting catfish or crappie. I know it is a little late and they are probably booked but gotta ask.

There is one old timer there that fishes at night. All I ever new was Mr. Elder. Go at night; because when the sun comes up the fish shut off in the Summer months. Sorry I can't be more help.

If you are going to be fishing, I recommend spending most of your time on Lake Ouachita. Only 15 or 20 minutes up the road and a much better fishery. Party goers and wake boats will run you off of Hamilton pretty quick.

He is a crappie guide. Former marine from Texas. He is a great guy. He will know what lake they are biting on right now. He lives on Lake Hamilton but fishes all the area lakes around Hot Springs.
