It was before my time, but back in high school I worked at a cabinet shop in the summer. Boss says we're going to Mineral Wells on Saturday and Sunday, I said OK, well his Father in-law had passed away, and we had to go clean out his house and barn. The FIL was apparently a TV repair man, we brought back a couple of 18 wheelers full of old TV repair equipment, and crammed it in the back of that cabinet shop, and my old boss told me about them. We also brought back some cool stuff, i.e.: a vintage Rolls Royce that was in mint condition, he'd take me and his nephew to lunch and we would sit in the back seat and make him open the door to let us out, people would stop and stair at us to see who the heck was stepping out of the back of that Rolls Royce. A couple of punk [censored] kids with long hair and AC/DC / Led Zeppelin T Shirts.

The last one I seen,and used,was in the Radio Shack at the intersection of Roberts Cut-Off and Jacksboro Hwy. Circa 1977. Never seen one in a 7-11.

I have seen them in use before.

When your TV or radio quit working, you pulled the tubes. Then you could use that machine to test them. Replace the one or ones that needed to be replaced.

Remember when 7-11's were the only place that had microwave ovens.
